Ribbon Skirt Sewing Circle with SGCE In-Person

Join Junise Golden Feather Bliss, founder and CEO of Sweetgrass Cultural Enrichment to make your own ribbon skirt and learn about opportunities to advocate for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

Ribbon skirts are a piece of regalia traditional shared across many indigenous communities. They are handmade skirts decorated with ribbons in different colors and patterns. Each skirt is unique, and they carry a variety of meanings for different people and cultures, usually centering womanhood and strength and often carrying a story told through the colors and patterns of the ribbons.

Sweetgrass Cultural Enrichment Center, is a Naitve-led nonprofit committed to preserving cultural heritage, honoring historical traditions, and empowering present and future generations through advocacy, empowering the next seven generations.
