Community Cooking for Kids In-Person

Register your little (ages 4-6) one for this 6-week series where Chef Walker from East Providence High School will teach the kids a new recipe each week!

Bill Walker has been teaching ProStart for six years at East Providence Career & Technical Center in Rhode Island. Before teaching, he had an extensive culinary career. When it was time to go to college, Bill attended and graduated from Johnson & Wales University with an AOS of Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Foodservice Management. Following his BS he nomadically wandered about the country working in different restaurants trying to learn as much as he could. After 10 years he returned to Johnson & Wales to earn a Masters in Culinary Education. Since 2001 he has been teaching high school Culinary Arts, running a practicum property for Johnson & Wales University, and serving as the Executive Chef of both Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Boston and Salve Regina University.

This series is in partnership with the East Providence Health Equity Zone and the East Providence School Department.
