Halloween & More: A Japanese Storytime and Craft with Chiho

Halloween & More: A Japanese Storytime and Craft with Chiho In-Person

Join us for a special storytime with RI local Chiho Desmond from Ohisama, a playgroup for parents and children living in Rhode Island and nearby areas that meets once a month to sing songs, read books, and learn about Japanese culture—all in Japanese.

Chiho will be leading a Japanese culture experience for ages 1-6, including stories, songs, and a craft related to the fall season and Halloween!

Ohisama conducts regular activities to maintain Japanese language, culture, and heritage and to foster connections among participants. The group currently has over 50 member families, with participants joining playgroups, excursions, and other events from all over Rhode Island, southern Massachusetts, and Connecticut. With the enthusiasm and support of volunteer parents, the group has grown into an extraordinary community.
